Individuals and/or families often require additional financial and/or legal support for family members with disabilities. As such, the following services are offered:
- Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) support. Advocacy, consultation, and coordinated support is available to access services through the FSCD program. This includes services as offered through both the Developmental Aide model, or Specialized Services Model.
- Disability Tax Credit (T-2201). Completion of the necessary paperwork to apply for this disability tax credit is available.
- Assessments for Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) and Persons with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) program are available. Sharon also completes AISH assessments on contract to Mandel and Associates.
- Capacity Assessments – Sharon specializes in the completion of Capacity Assessments for parents of 17-year-old children transitioning into adulthood. Completion of this form allows for sole guardianship and/or trusteeship, or shared decision-making abilities in the areas of medical, educational, vocational, legal, and financial matters. The process involves a pre-assessment consultation, follow-up interview, and completion of Form 4.
